The Titus Model
Cedar Bible Church has developed The Titus Model as its guideline for structure. In a sense, it serves as a Purpose Statement, or the means to carry out the primary calling of the N.T. church (Acts 2:42) and the command of the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20). The TM distinguishes the roles of the church as a whole and that of its members individually.
The Church Pattern - Titus Chapter 1
I. Preach the Word, vs. 1-3
A. Faith as its foundation, v. 1
B. Truth as its basis, v. 1
C. Godliness as its objective, v. 1
D. Eternity as its expectation, v. 2
II. Develop godly leadership, vs. 4-9
III. Confront false teaching (advocate Biblical correctness), vs. 10-16
The Individual Pattern - Titus Chapters 2 & 3
The call of the Christian is to live among his/her culture within a lifestyle that is a distinct identity with Christ (hence Christian, or Christ-one) and speak a message (as witnesses per Acts 1:8) that draws others to Him.
